Christmas

So we had a great christmas. Shawn had to work Christmas eve so I went to my families yearly dinner thing and came home before they started eating. Shawn and I both thought that his aunt had dinner that night also so we were going to go there. But it was not so we went to the store and had lunchables for dinner! I much rather would have stayed at my families and had yummy food but it worked out great. Christmas morning we got up and packed, we are moving this week and decided it was a good time to do it. Shawn gave me my gifts and I gave him his and then we headed to his aunts! My sister was also having a Christmas dinner so my brother picked me up from shawns aunts. Shawn stayed with his aunt and cousins and I went to hang out with Cire and my family. I made my way back to shawn and we had a good night.

The day after Christmas we went out to dinner with Scotty and Christie and had Olive Garden!!! We had some interesting conversations. Glow in the Dark things and all that good stuff. Shawn and Scotty are random and a bit weird. But we love them! We then went to thier house and played the Wii for a bit and now we are finishing moving. Ill post pictures when we are all moved! Hope everyone had a great Christmas and have a great new years.

1. I am the worst speller in the world. In school growing up I could do every thing without having to study or even try except spelling. I was never taught how to sound words out so it was super tough. The dictionary is my best friend.

2. My goal in life is to be a judge. I want to be a LASD then a lawyer and in the end a judge. I want to be a crime solver and a good role model for my community.

3. I like to make up words and try to make people believe they are real. I like to mix words together and make them the new cool words. Yeah I know kinda weird.

4. I have always wanted my future child(ren) to have Irish names. Shawn and I both have strong Irish names and I think it would be totally cool. Id put them up but someone may steal them because they are so awesome.

5. The only time I remember my dreams is when someone in them died. The scary thing is when someone dies in my dreams they usually die in real life soon after. Kinda creepy.

6. I am so scared to cut my hair. I have this strange attachment to it or something. It has gotten long and I still can not bare to cut it. Thank goodness my hair is healthy and strong!

Happy Birthday Cire!!!

So this Sunday is the birthday of my nephew Cire. He is the most awesome child I know. He has blessed my families life in so many ways. He has brought us together and made us all understand that family is forever and not to hold grudges.

year old asks for that! her are a few pictures ofIm going to tell you about him. Cire is my sister Allison's son. They moved back to my parents home shortly after he was born. It was so much fun to have a growing baby in the house. He has grown into a VERY smart 5 year old so fast. I cant wait to see what his future has in store for him. I hope he has a great birthday. For his party he asked for an adult dinner party... what 5 him.

Giving Thanks

So Shawn and I are talking in church this Sunday! We are to speak on gratitude for the Savior and his sacrifice and on the restoration of the church. This has made me think of the things that I'm thankful for.

I'm thankful for Shawn. His understanding, love, humor, and just him as a whole.

I'm thankful for my crazy brothers and sisters that are disfunctional, but we will always be there for eachother.



My Parents. My mother that is a great person. She is so strong and can get through anything.
My daddy who gave all us kids a love for sports and outdoors.

I am very thankful for my nephew. He has held our family together. He is so smart and extremly funny. The kid is awesome and will grow up to be a great man. Because he is so darn cute I'll put up a few pictures of him.

I'm thankful for the church and everything it brings into my life.

I'm thankful for my country and for those that serve to keep us safe. Thanks buddy.

Wedding Pictures Finally!

For Time and All Eternity!

Shawn and I were sealed in the Los Angeles Temple on the 8th of Aug. 2008!!!! It was such an amazing day. I went and got my hair done and while I was sitting in the chair I get a call from Shawn. His car was acting up so he took it to the shop and he was going to get a rental car!!! Yes on the day of our sealing! I went to get my makeup done by Char and she was a half hour late but my makeup turned out great. There was traffic but my great husband took a couple different freeways to get us there on time.
The sealing was beautiful. Our sealer was a funny old man, he fit us well. I was so excited that my Nana got to sit next to me and my uncle was able to be a witness.
Pictures were so long! I will post some as soon as we get them back.

Other then that married life is going well. I see Shawn less then I did before. Starting next week we are both going to be full time students and work full time. The way Shawn has his schedule he is going to be gone Mon-Thurs from 7am to 9pm, and Friday from 7-10:30.... so sad. the only late night im going to have is Tuesday I do not get of class until 9:50 pm. so Shawn and I are going to have a hectic first few months of marriage.

We are truly blessed to have had such a great wedding and the reception was so great. If you werent there you missed out!!!!

We love each other so much and are looking forward to eternity.

1 month left

Boy does time fly by. I feel like it is going super fast, that scares me and makes me so happy. Scared because I want to make sure I have everything ready and happy because I get to be sealed to Shawn for time and all eternity. Something I have been waiting for for almost 3 years. Shawn and I have had a great 3 years and cant wait for many many more. We are having so much fun and cant wait for the party to come. I hope everyone else is as lucky as we are someday!

Supprise # 4

So I have been surprising Shawn each week with something. This week I thought it would be cute to write him a letter through blog! kinda weird yes but it is something I would never do normally. I'm not very good at expressing my feelings in public. You know you see those couples that are all lovey dovie... not me! except for when We are alone or with family where I feel completely comfortable! so here it goes!

Shawn,
This weeks theme is trust and confidence. (and whatever else i come up with)! Tonight I learned how much I truly trust you and love you. I know that no matter how crabby I may be you are going to be there to lighten the mood and make my day that much better. You tonight have shown me that just because I think one thing I'm not always right! yeah that's right i said it... :P I have complete confidence in us and have always. You and me we are like mustard and katchup. We are a pair and will work well where ever we are. I'm going to add forgivness to the theme. I am so thankfull that you love me so much even though I am not perfect and that I am still working to be the best me. I am so thankful that even though your not perfect I can get past imperfections. Thank you for striving to be temple worthy and for guiding me down the same path. We are making the most important step at this point in life and I am so thankfull that with out a doubt I know its right!!!! I know I tell you I love you a lot but know that everytime I say I love you I mean it, and always will. Im so thankfull I know you feel the same. Im so greatful that you are furthering your education and trying to be even better than you already are, so thankful you are trying to make a great life for us! Shawn your an amayzing man and I'm truly blessed to have you in my life! Shawn I love you and cant wait to be your wife. 32 more days!!!

It's Been To Long!!!!

So Shawn and I are a month and 8 days away!!!

We are just getting all the palns ready and sending out invitations this week. I never thought about how stressful everything was going to be.

Shawn keeps coming up with ideas like not seeing me for 30 days before the wedding. He thinks it will make it that much more exciting... NOT SO MUCH! Another grand idea he has is to not kiss me for that long either. He is so cute.... but i knocked both of thoes ideas away and hes gotta see and kiss me! YaY for me.

Not much else is going on right now. Just trying to figure out what classes to take next semister and all that good stuff. Shawn has also decided to go back to school. So we will both be working full time and going to school full time.

Whats new???

So there has been so much going on and not enough time to write! Shawn and I are looking at houses, so exciting. I can't wait to have our own place that we can call our own. I can't wait to paint and decorate! But most of all I'm so excited to go through the temple. My friend Dani just went through yesterday and is getting married sat!!!

So on another note I have been reading the book, "P.S. I Love You." It is such a good book. It is about 500 pages and I have been reading for about 3 days and I am almost done! I can't wait to see the movie, I heard it is better then the book. Christie has dibbs on it next... but after that if anyone wants to borrow it let me know!.

So planning the wedding is comming along. Shawn has been so good. I told him it is as much his day as it is mine and that he could have whatever he wants. So he is picking the food and the entertainment and that leaves me to do decorations which is a piece of cake. He is so amazing! I cant wait to have him around all the time and to help me do everything.

3 Months Left

So Shawn and I have a little under 3 months left til we are married. We are having a good time planning and thinking of fun ways to make our wedding reflect US! I told Shawn he can have anything he wants and he is totally coming up with great things. I love that he is involoved and having fun planning with me, takes some presure off me. I cant wait to be Mrs. Barry. Time is flying by so fast and today is another day closer. I LOVE LoVe Love Shawn

As everyone can tell we had a blast! Shawn kept us all laughing the whole time. As always loved making his faces, even in the pictures. They would not have depicted the real us if he hadn't.

I'm Home I'm home

So I got home wed. They had to keep me an extra day due to my lungs collapsing and the meds they gave me made me really sick. Throwing up and having a cut open throat do not mix very well. My lungs are getting stronger everyday. I have also decided that pain meds are not for me. While I was in the hospital the nurse came in every hour to give me my shot of dilated (spelling?) its a strong pain med. I did not like the feeling of being druged to the point i was not awake most of the day. Dont get me wrong i was in a ton of pain but there are other ways to over come that.

On a better note:
Shawn being the man he is visited me every single day.
Friday: After Shawn left from visiting me my mom said she was going to the store. I decided that I should go with her and practice walking and being around people. Bad idea. I was stared at and one lady even said "I cant believe she did that to herself." I hate that I live in a world of judgemental people. I was walking slower then normal and one lady cut arond and then cut infront of me and stopped. I was feeling really weak and very uncomfortable. So we finished geting the stuff I needed for the week and went home.

Saturday:
Shawn and I went to my aunts house and we went over house stuff. We left and went back to Shawns and I rested for a few hours being startled awake and having a coughing attack. But it got better. Shawn,Scotty, Christie and I went to dinner at a new italian place by my house for dinner. Our hostest decided to put us at a table in the middle of other tables. It was a bit uncomfortable, I thought people were going to run into me or something. The food not great, I love olive garden way better. But it was a good night and I was glad to be out and feeling better.

Sunday:
My goal today was to bare my testimony so that I could try to walk up the stairs to the mic. I didnt fall!!! We stayed all three hours and even for break the fast. I'm in a lot of pain but with prayer and faith that the Lord will bring me many great blessings for attending church even in the pain I'm in I had to stay. I'm so thankful to be here and thankful for everyone that is helping me recover!

The day of surgery

So on the day of surgery Mom, Marian and I drove to the hospital. We got there early, i hate being late! My surgery was scheduled for 12 and I had to be there at 9:30. I felt like I had to sit around forever. Finally after having to pee in a cup... pregency test.... hahahah told them it was not necessary! They finally took me to the "pre-op" room where the drug man comes in and puts my IV in and he did an amazing job. I have hard veins to find and usually they have to dig. This man was so good. Then the surgon comes in and talked to me and made sure I know what I was there for.

I then called Shawn knowing that my time was coming very soon. I told him that I loved him and that I'd love to see him as soon as I was done. All that while I was crying. As soon as I hung up they took me. Mom was crying and it was crazy. I remember being wheeled down the cold white halls passing OR-3 OR-7 OR-13 and then they put me in OR-18. There were two men in there joking and laughing as I was coming in and a nurse opening the surgical pacs. Then it was lights out for me, I dont remember a thing after that.

I dont even remember wakingup in recovery or anything. I dont remember the surgon asking me to talk to make sure he had not cut my vocal cords. The only thing I remember is waking up in my room and seeing mom and marian walk in. Right behind them was SHAWN!!! Just how I wanted it. The only thing I remember from the rest of that day was shawn sat by my bed side holding my hand for hours.

Surgery

So I'm haveing surgery tomorrow! well I guess today... its 12:03.
I just want everyone to know that I'll be fine and thinking about everyone!

So Shawn and I took our pictures for our invitations this saturday and I have a feeling that they are going to be great! Shawn was being his goofy self and making faces, but thats totally him and we had a blast. Being his wife is going to be amayzing and I cant wait. Ill get a work out everyday just by laughing! I LOVE HIM so much.

ENGAGED

So Shawn and I are engaged as of Feb. 9th at about 9:30 am. It was so cute. We went to the balloon in Irvine(Great Park O.C.). We were 400 ft in the air and I noticed that his shoe was untied. Usually I would tie it for him but I was busy taking pictures and told him to tie it himself. Later I came to find out that he untied his shoe on purpose! It gave him an excuse to get on his knees. I was busy taking pictures, Shawn was done tying his shoe and said"Baby" and I turned to him and said what do you want. He said "Will you marry me" I totally thought he was kidding and when he pulled the box out of his pocket I thought that it was going to have something silly in it. But he opened it and there was my beautiful ring. Of course I said yes and we are getting married on the 8th of Aug in the LA temple. We are then having our recption on the 9th of Aug in the Stake Center
